Lucet is a device for braiding square cord. For braiding uses one strand unlimited length. If during braiding we rotate lucet, we obtain tight braided, square cord with identical facets. (red cord on photo 8 ). If during braiding lucet not rotate , we obtain less tight braided square cord with paired facets different types. (black cord on photo 8 ). It is very likely that there are other types of braiding with using lucet, they are not known to me.
For fabrication of lucet was used steel round bar
10 millimeter thickness. All parts of lucet joined together by forge welding. Sequence of fabrication you can see on photos.
